if we get the power level to 100 and shoot straight up, could we have a cutscene where the ball eclipses the sun, then comes blasting down with a plasma trail and sonic booms, and upon impact it blows a massive crater, say, a kilometer across, then continues a kilometer deep? i think that would be fun.
Glad to see someone else remembers this old style of flash game lol. Now that I think about it doesn't it predate Vampire Survivors and that simple feedback loop gameplay? Oh and the music is a great touch too!
I do wish I could have more control when the ball is released, I personally highly dislike having so little input in the matter. Perhaps allowing me the ability to actively aim the cannon would be a better fit for the game?
At first I read "procedural generation" and just assumed this would be boring and glitchy.
And an hour later and that is apparently not the case. This is a lot of fun!
One thing I would like to see is a "Skip" button when materials are counted. I noticed you could click a few times to skip it but that would often cause me to launch the cannon at random angles.
To add to the things you have already thought about:
A specific goal. Right now it just seems like a fun sandbox. It would be nice to have an end game goal.
General goals and item/upgrade unlocks when those goals are achieved.

can you make it so that when we get power to ludicrous levels we can launch it into high orbit and break stars?

The game is very satisfying, especially the explosion when you get it to a high level, but it could use a goal so there's a reason to keep playing
okay, i've been playing this for a good hour
and i like it
although, it could use some more things, like probably being able to use power-ups, or having trails for the (cannon)balls

Nice! So much potential!
- I think the ball looks to round compared to the overall pixel design. You almost can't see that it rotates.
- field of view could be wider to see more of the sides of the 3D blocks
- Pause should show an - pause - overlay
- Pause on fullscreen (chrome mac) does'nt pause, but closes fullscreen
- How about some statistics? Number of shots, money gained money spent, farthest shot, deepest shot (also markers on the map for those), ...
- I'd like to have a way to reset the game in order to try more efficient ways to level up in the beginning
- Shooting upwards to gain more speed doesn't make much of a difference concerning the money you get, compared to shooting straight forward
- Procedual generation is nice, but what if I wanted to bomb my way down a previously made shaft?
- Maybe show names and price of ores in the calculating screen when hovering over those

I'm so glad you liked it! This is very encouraging :) I made the cannon not fire when you're spamming to skip in the latest version.
i just jumped a lotta times with a lot of gunpowder and im off the map and cant see any land

I'd love to hear your ideas for new features or any issues you see. Here are all of my ideas at the moment.
Features:
- grass
- little creatures to destroy
- more hills
- pause menu / settings
- more stuff in the sky, stars, planets
- chests, more things to run into early game
- day night cycle
- buildings
- make pause also pause audio
Issues:
- prevent single block islands spawning in caves
- if you go too slowly then fast again you can see empty space left
- make jump effect above player when jumping down and also rotate it 180
- first background doesn't despawn
Audio:
- better cannon noise
- better ticking noise
- better coin noise
- percent going into total earned noise
Performance:
- make it not laggy
Great game, however if you are using space to launch and you have opened the shop recently, the shop will be open during the following shot.
